International mutual funds topped the returns chart last week (October 5 to October 9), delivering up to 11% returns during the period. Of the 626 funds, 148 delivered positive returns, four reported no change, and 474 posted negative returns. Here are the top five performers (Source: ACE MF).
During the same period, the Dow Jones rose 0.75%, followed by the Hang Seng, which gained 0.71%. The NYSE, S&P 500 and BSE Sensex advanced 0.63%, 0.48% and 0.12%, respectively. On the other hand, the DAX fell 0.66%, the Nasdaq declined 0.40%, and the Nifty 50 shed 0.15%.
ICICI Pru Strategic Metal and Energy Equity FoF, an international fund, delivered a return of 3.04% during the period.
DSP World Gold Mining Overseas Equity Omni FoF, an international fund, delivered a return of 2.67% during the period.
Motilal Oswal Financial Services Fund, a financial services sector-based fund, delivered a return of 2.09% during the period.
The other 143 funds delivered positive returns ranging from 0.02% to 1.87% during the period.
The 474 funds that posted negative returns recorded losses ranging from 0.01% to 2.72% during the period.
