Thangamayil Jewellery net profit flat at ₹59 crore

Madurai-based Thangamayil Jewellery reported a net profit of ₹59 crore for the second quarter ended September 2026, nearly flat from ₹58 crore in the same quarter last year. Revenue went up by 40 per cent to ₹2,388 crore (₹1,711 crore).

Gold jewellery sales rose 41 per cent to ₹2,119 crore in Q2 FY27. Non-gold (silver, diamonds, other products) sales rose 36 per cent to ₹184 crore.

The company flagged that uncertainty over the West Asia war drove wide fluctuations in gold and silver prices and caused a drop in expat remittances in Tamil Nadu, affecting business. Thangamayil Jewellery added that if the recent fall in gold prices continues through the second half of the year, pent-up demand may return, subject to other headwinds easing.

The number of retail outlets of the jeweller in operation stood at 70 as of September 2026.

The shares of Thangamayil Jewellery on the NSE closed at ₹4,242 .30 on Wednesday, down 6.41 per cent.
