Indian defence panel clears purchase proposals worth $11.6 billion
India's defence acquisition council approved proposals worth about ₹1.10 lakh crore ($11.64 billion) on Monday, the Defence Ministry said in a statement.
The approval was granted for acquisition of items including chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear reconnaissance vehicles, high mobility vehicles, advanced light helicopters, and trawl tanks, the Ministry said.
