Indian defence panel clears purchase proposals worth $11.6 billion

India's ‌defence acquisition council ​approved ⁠proposals worth about ₹1.10 ‌lakh crore ($11.64 billion) on ‌Monday, ‌the ⁠Defence ⁠Ministry said in a statement.

The approval ​was ‌granted for acquisition of items ‌including chemical, biological, ​radiological and nuclear ⁠reconnaissance vehicles, high mobility ‌vehicles, advanced light helicopters, and trawl tanks, ‌the Ministry ​said.
