Octave sets up tech centre with 1,600 engineers in Hyderabad

Octave Intelligence plc, which provides software for mission-critical industrial facilities and infrastructure, has opened its Technology and Innovation Centre here. The centre, which currently employs 1,600 employees, will have 400 more over the next 3-4 years.

The two-lakh sq ft centre will support Octave’s global technology and innovation operations across software engineering, AI, data, cloud and product development. The company has also set up its Experience Centre at the Hyderabad office, showcasing its connected, contextual intelligence solutions and technology capabilities.

The facility was inaugurated by Telangana IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu here on Wednesday.

“In the past year alone, Hyderabad absorbed more than 46 percent of all new capability centres established in the country, with companies such as Charles Schwab, The Hartford, Nationwide, L’Oréal, Vanguard, and T-Mobile and Southwest Airlines,” the Minister said.

“We saw 75 new Global Capability Centres setting up their bases last year. We are now targeting 100 more by next year,” he said.
